As a marine life artist, I have dedicated my life to raising awareness about issues facing our world's waters. I began painting life-size murals of whales and
other marine life over 25 years ago to inspire people to protect and preserve our ocean. 100 "Whaling Walls" later, my mission has expanded to educate people
around the planet about the need to conserve all water resources and habitats. I realized that you can't save one body of water without thinking about the next -
you can't save the ocean without protecting our lakes, rivers, estuaries, and wetlands. I started the Wyland Foundation in 1993 to encourage environmental
awareness through public art, classroom education, and community events. By sharing our knowledge of the need of clean water and the interconnectedness of
the world's waterways, we can have a lasting global impact.
working hard on a Friday...somehow there should be a law against this ~~w/Gratituude that your visions hang on my walls to inspire myself and the world daily~~ hugs ~
oh yeah.... plus I wanted to mention I've visited one of your shops in Naples Florida too and your furniture and sculptures there are just awesome.... and I used to love the way when you would dim the lights on your paintings, it would change the whole mood. lit up was like looking at an ocean view in broad daylight with all the spectacle of color and liveliness of the living daylight, and when you dimmed the lights it changed the mood and you could actually feel the sunset in your painting.... just beautiful.... maybe someday I will make something as pretty as you do.
I just wanted to say your an inspirational artist. I wish I was an artist like you. I remember coming to your studio in Hawaii when I was a little kid. I love your work. Probably why I am so into the beach and marine life and whatnot and can't stand not living near a decent beach anymore. I remember a painting ya did of an angel chained down in the desert about to be trampled by a herd of horses. What was the name of that cause I can't find it anywhere. Anyways, your work on buildings inspires me that someday the world will be art, and we won't have to hide in the gutters trickin off graffetti. *sad*.... anyways, your awesome. <3
I just wanted you to know I voted for you for the impact awards. I think you deserve it! I've been a collector for many years and I love your work. I love that you are very personable to your fans. Thank You!
Hi, Wyland. Sorry I wasn't able to assist at the Long Beach affair, but I'll try to help out soon. Thanks for all you do, you are a blessing to the world.
