Jesus and the Gurus is one of the oldest active Gothic-Industrial-bands of Switzerland – the band exists since 1994. With the years Jesus and the Gurus have reached a cult status. Numerous concerts in whole Europe secured them fanatic followers.
Jesus and the Gurus developed their own homogeneous musical style that could be named Military Rock, seasoned with a choice of cynical lyrics.
In the beginning Jesus and the Gurus torpedoed the human moral with their CD-production in self-management. In the year 2003 the signed a record-contract with the German label Fearsection of Chris Pohl, the head of Blutengel. There they published two albums: “Hammering on the gates of heaven” and “Satans little helpers” with remixes of notable bands like Feindflug, Das Ich, Blutengel and Cephalgy.
2006 Jesus and the Gurus changed to the renowned german label Black Rain and edited the provocative CD “King ov Salò”. In the beginning of 2009 this was followed by “Blood, Sweat and Tears” with the hammering “Panzerlied” which became a hit in clubs with the cover-version by the EBM-legend Tyske Ludder.
With “Wut+Zorn=Revolution” Jesus and the Gurus now present their new album following their marching directions with even more brute force and consequence.
In live concerts Jesus and the Gurus offer an impressive stage scene. The band plays customized instruments like guitars, drums, bodydrums and a specially modified Casio SK5. Jesus and the Gurus played throughout Europe on different festivals like Gothicfestival Waregem, NCN Festival or WGT (Wave Gothic Treffen Leipzig). On their 2009 tour they traveled 9290 km and conquered the whole of Europe from Spain to Poland.
Periodically the renowned Gothic- and Metal-magazines report about the albums, cult-concerts and impressive performances of the exceptional Swiss/Hungarian band Jesus and the Gurus. Through that the band also attracted the attention of the yellow press. The sarcastic lyrics were also overtaxing superficial TV-broadcasters. So the musicians were stamped satanic fetishists or even Nazis. Jesus and the Gurus claim innocence and keep marching on their thorny way.

    Jesus and the Gurus ist eine der �ltesten aktiven Gothic-Industrial Bands der Schweiz - die Band existiert seit 1994. Mit den Jahren hat Jesus and the Gurus Kultstatus erreicht. Zahlreiche Konzerte in ganz Europa sicherten ihnen eine fanatische Anh�ngerschaft. Jesus and the Gurus entwickelten ihren eigenst�ndigen homogenen Musikstil gew�rzt mit einer Hand voll zynischen Texten, den man als Military Rock bezeichnen kann. Anfangs torpedierten Jesus and the Gurus in Eigenregie die menschliche Moral mit eigenen CD-Produktionen. Im Jahr 2003 unterschrieben sie einen Plattenvertrag mit dem deuschen Label Fearsection von Chris Pohl, dem Kopf von Blutengel. Dort ver�ffentlichten sie die zwei Alben: „Hammering on the gates of heaven“ sowie „Satans little helpers” mit Remixen von namhaften Bands wie Feindflug, das Ich, Blutengel und Cephalgy. 2006 wechselten Jesus and the Gurus zum renommierten deutschen Label Black Rain und brachten dort die provokative CD „King ov Sal�” heraus. Anfang 2009 folgte „Blood, Sweat and Tears“ mit dem h�mmernden “Panzerlied”, welches durch die Coverversion von EBM-Legende Tyske Ludder zum Clubhit wurde. Mit “Wut Zorn=Rebellion” pr�sentieren Jesus and the Gurus nun ihr neuestes Album, welches noch brachialer und konsequenter ihre Marschrichtung verfolgt. Live pr�sentieren Jesus and the Gurus ein sehr eindr�ckliches B�hnenbild . Die Band spielt auf selbst umgebauten Instrumenten wie Gitarren, Drums, Bodydrums und einem speziell modifizierten Casio SK5. Jesus and the Gurus spielten schon europaweit an verschiedenen Festivals wie dem Gothicfestival Waregem, NCN Festival oder dem WGT (Wave Gotik Treffen Leipzig). Bei ihrer Tour 2009 legten sie 9290 km zur�ck und eroberten von Spanien bis Polen ganz Europa. Regelm�ssig berichteten die renomierten Gothic- und Metal-Magazine �ber die Alben, Kult-Konzerten und eindr�cklichen Performances der Schweiz/Ungarischen Ausnahme-Band Jesus and the Gurus. So zog die Band auch die Aufmerksamkeit der Regenbogenpresse auf sich. Die sarkastischen Texte �berforderten auch die oberfl�chlichen TV-Sender. So wurde die Band als Fetisch-Satanistische Musiker bezeichnet oder gar als Nazis abgestempelt. Jesus and the Gurus waschen ihre H�nde in Unschuld und marschieren weiter auf ihrem steinigen Weg.
