Influences
I was influenced by a lot of bands, but my primary influence on guitar and vocals with without a doubt, Tommy Bolin. Tommy moved to my home town of Boulder, Colorado when I was a teenager and I had the great honor to see him, meet him and absorb his styles before and during the time he broke out as an international star. Unfortunately, like so many great talents, he passed away, succumbing to the pressures of stardom with drugs and alcohol. Some other influences: Elton John/Bernie Taupin for songwriting, Neil Schon and Jonathan Cain of Journey as a guitarist and keyboard influence...BB King, Eric Clapton, Joe Satriani, there are hundreds of people who have influenced me over the years.
