Pancreatic Aardvarks is the name for the excursions into subconscious narrative abstract music, created by josh (Narse,Gallows Tree,The Good Neighbors). Stories told through noise and through melody, through minimalism and expansive sound. Pancreatic Aardvarks have brought influences from post-rock and shoegazer sounds, to drone and ambient music and everything in between. Since 2000, josh has been self releasing cd-rs, as well as appearing on various compilations (including the tribute to Current 93 and 2007's "Circuits of Steel II", a collection of Pittsburgh-based electronic music). Preferring to work with live instruments (keyboards, guitars, found sounds, etc) rather than computers and focusing on composition over improvisation, Pancreatic Aardvarks create dreamlike live performances.
