The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had. Just a note to say hello and wish you a nice weekend with lots of imagination and creativity! Mine will Finally be about catching up with friends I haven't seen in so long - life gets so crazy busy so I'm looking forward to some down time relaxing and enjoying myself! I think it's a good thing to be a little selfish sometimes and to think about Nothing but having a good time. lol

Near a shady wall a rose once grew, Budded and blossomed in God's free light, Watered and fed by morning dew, Shedding it's sweetness by day and by night.
As it grew and blossomed, fair and tall, Slowly rising to loftier height, It came to a crevice in the wall, Through which there shone a beam of light.
Onward it crept with added strength, With never a thought of fear of pride, It followed the light through the crevice length, And unfolded itself on the other side.
The light, the dew, the broadening view Were found the same as they were before, And it lost itself in beauties new, Breathing it's fragrance more and more. Being with mom these last two weeks as she recovered from surgery has been a neat time in my mother's very infamous back yard and patio - with listening to the wonderful childhood memories of gardens she had when she was a young girl, it seems mother also had quite the fascination with the dragonflies that danced with their multiple colored florescent wings over the showy flowers and darting here and there didn't stop her from trying to capture them, if only for a little while in her small jar. Lady bugs was also a topic we enjoyed after one landed on me, and of course we both chimed at the same time, how lucky I am that one landed on me! Indeed - I am more than lucky - quite blessed to have one on one with mom and what a nice time it was and always is.
