Sounds Like
A wailing guitar, a grooving bass, and some wild drums.
So what exactly does 11 sound better than? Frontman Evan Forgue explains, "Pretty much everything" he says with a smile, "I mean, when John, Jeff, and I first started playing music together, we all had pretty different backgrounds and styles. Jeff was a metal drummer, John is a reggae bassist, and I'm a blues guitarist, so our styles meshed in a really unique way, but we knew from the start this was going to be something good, we could all take pride in." Bassist John Russell continues, "Yeah, though our music was kind of hectic at first, once we solidified as a band, things started to get less hectic and became more energenic. I'm glad we were able to that, because it lead to a really great sound."
How did you guys meet? "By absolute luck" Drummer Jeff Blayney says."John and I met in the dorms our freshman year at CSU, and hit it off pretty well, so we decieded to move in together off campus the next year, not really with the intention of forming a band, though we had jammed together a few times. Then towards the end of the year we threw a party, and a friend of a friend of a friend invited Evan to our house. Him and John made some recordings, but Evan was playing in a different band at the time. John and I didn't hear from Evan for a couple months, then we threw another party, he came over, we jammed, and the band was formed."
What makes you guys so unique? "Well the fact that when you listen to us, it doesn't feel like your hearing the same song over and over again." John says "One of my biggest peaves with alot of bands these days is it seems like once you've heard one song, you've heard the whole album. Now I'm not saying that having a certian overall style is a bad thing, but each song is a different piece of art and you should be able to tell them apart by more than just the lyrics."
So what do the guys do when their not playing music together? Evan works at spotlight music as a guitar teacher, Jeff works at RunPc as a Pc technician, and John, well, he plays alot of video games.
