About me:
The 11th Amendment Comedy Show was born Fall 2008 between Adam Welker and Jordan Tuerler. When the two young comics met in a screen writing class at Iowa State University the idea for the 11th Amendment Show was born. They came up with the name one day when they had to come up with movie titles. The 11th Amendment sounded like a great title so they decided to keep it.
Soon, a man by the name of Jim Coppoc contacted Adam asking if he wanted to host his own local comedy show. Adam agreed and enrolled the help of his good friend Jordan. They cleaned up the space that Jim provided and converted The Art Space into a fine comedy venue with the help of Downtown Deli providing the best seats in the house.
The 11th Amendment is held at least once a month on a Tuesday at 8:30pm. Check the dates for scheduled comics and make sure to spread the word.
Who I'd like to meet:
We'd like to meet anyone interested in stand-up comedy in the Ames area. Anyone who likes to laugh, have fun, and meet new people are more than welcome to come.
