Robin, Lead Vocals & Acoustic Guitar: From the backseat of her family’s 1960 Ford Starliner, Robin, first fell in love with the layered harmonies of the Beatles and, since the age of 5, has been filling in the harmonic gaps in every song she hears. In an effort to encourage her musical gift, her mother bought her a guitar at the age of 12 and the music hasn’t stopped since. With numerous years of choral and ensemble work as a foundation, Robin began singing her beloved harmonic background vocals with worship bands in 1995. Twelve years later, she’s once again strapped on her guitar and taken her place at the center mic to fulfill a heavenly calling and deliver a message of grace, hope and the ultimate love of Jesus Christ.
Don Webster, Lead Guitar: Having spent the better part of the last two decades shredding up the fret board for the Contemporary Christian Metal band, Neon Cross, Don has also played in and/or produced several other bands in genres varying from blues to punk/grunge to contemporary worship. As a musician, writer and producer, Don brings a level of knowledge and professionalism to 11th Street that is unparalleled.
Scot Strickland, Bass: Scot is one bass player you will not soon forget. While he’s most skillful at setting up the tempo for the band, it’s his on-stage enthusiasm that is most memorable as it welcomes everyone to become part of the band and join in the fun. While counting Contemporary Christian bands such as Neon Cross and Next Ten Days as well as numerous worship bands to his credit, his most important gig would be the one he’s currently playing and his most important mission is always to bring glory to the God he loves in all that he does.
Forged in the fire of Christian heavy metal and cooled in the living waters of the contemporary praise and worship movement, 11th Street is a four piece acoustic/rock praise band hailing from Hermosa Beach, California. Their purpose is twofold: to lead Christians to the throne of God through music and to spread God’s love in the community.
Whether drawing from an ocean of great contemporary songwriters such as Matt Redman, Chris Tomlin, Charlie Hall and Paul Baloche, or dipping from the spring of their own songwriting gifts, 11th Street brings a taste of both the familiar and the fresh to every worship gathering.
You can find 11th Street ministering every Sunday morning at their home church, Beach Cities Christian Fellowship located at 730 11th Street in Hermosa Beach, California (www.bccfonline.org).
