.. United as Brothers and Sisters, we strive for excellence in academics and community service as well as being a diverse group of people who are aiming for success. Among community service, academics is one of our organizations building blocks. Delta Sigma Chi was originally founded as an all male Latino fraternity, at a time where the rates of Latinos dropping out of college was higher than those graduating. Nine men set up this organization to serve as a support group that would encourage academic success for other Latinos. Our Academic Program is designed to help our members achieve academic success. We strive to instill the importance of attaining a degree and furthering education into our members. Every year we put on several academic workshops and other academic events that will help our members in their goals. We also help provide assistance and other academic outlets that will allow our members to receive the counseling that they would otherwise be unable to attain. Our purpose as brothers and sisters of Delta Sigma Chi is to promote a greater appreciation for men and women, provide assistance in our community and create an understanding of other cultures, and most importantly encourage academic success for all the members. The mission of Delta Sigma Chi is to create future leaders and send educated individuals into the work force who appreciate diversity, have strong sense of community service and can work with individuals on all levels.
