  • Bio

For more than a decade the Texettes have written, recorded and toured their original style of Roots music to a growing band of eager supporters. The Texettes were mostly Terry and Helen, sometimes with an extra soul to help fill out the sound. With the imminent release of their new album – All Through the Night – Terry and Helen have augmented their performances with four seasoned musicians, to put on stage a snappy, modern Texettes breathing life and energy into both the new and older tunes. Obviously pleased with move, Helen said: "It's wonderful to hear the songs played on stage as they were recorded." The new band – 'gang', as Terry calls them – have synched nicely both in the studio and live. They bring a wide range of skills and experience that is providing the Texettes with a polished and intuitive backing that is exciting audiences. From a haunting country ballad , to a country rock, pop, blues or folk, The Texettes songs have mature, intelligent heartfelt lyrics that are woven into the "loping rhythms, the great harmonies and fantastic arrangements".
