General
I work in the media... an actor, working in voiceover, theatre, radio, TV and film. BBC-trained and with long broadcasting history in production and presentation I use Audio TX, and for recordings Cool Edit. I can send you finished work either as MP3 or WAV. Current work: VO and adverts on Smooth Radio, Trent FM, Manx Radio, numerous GCap stations, and internationally on TV in Spain, web station Radio 2XS and ... ASDA. Is there no escape? Recent work: Documentary narration for companies in United Arab Emirates, inflight commentary for Zoom & Ethiopian Airlines; VO and ADR for TV documentaries (Discovery Channel, BBC2) and drama; BBC TV trails; and have had radio work submitted for Sony Radio Awards. I've also done voices for animation. Voice samples available on request
For your instant audio-visual entertainment take a look at this video ... three clips from TV shows in which I've performed. I promise you, it's mercifully short.

THE PERSON BEHIND THE VOICE - I have plenty of LIKES: Bananas ... because they don't have bones; Mangoes because they do. Dolphins, beaches, stars, wit, the Blues, and I'm a bit of a Rock Chick so give me great guitar and lyrics. Also poetry and literature - Baudelaire, Keats; silence, (when you can find it) the smell of rain on a hot summer's day; good coffee, works of Adolphe Valette, Frida Kahlo, Edward Hopper, Paul Nash, Banksy; electric storms, great countryside, red wine, theatre, radio, bathos, litotes, satire and irony.

Who I'd like to meet: In an IDEAL WORLD … new friends in the arts, interesting creatives, potential employers, intellectual collaborators, jokers, jugglers, cartoonists and balloonists. People who know the difference between Haiku and a limerick, know that blank verse isn't prose, have music and poetry in their soul and who aren't afraid to stand up and be counted. So get in touch if you're dull, boring, dreadful company and a compulsive liar. PLEASE - surprise me with your wit and repartee. I shall reply accordingly.

MADDISON EP picks up fantastic review on Channel 4 Television’s PlanetSound!! Category: Music
Below is a transcript of the excellent review given to our ’Slide’ EP by PlanetSound on Channel 4 this week (w/c Mon 31st March 2008):
MADDISON ’Slide’ www. myspace. com/maddisonuk Incredibly catchy stuff this - taking the melodic nous of Oasis and marrying it to a rockier, blues-driven backing.
Damien Maddison’s vocals really stand out; raw and raspy without any metal-ish histrionics, he recalls Stevie Ray Vaughan at his crackling best.
If they’ve got a few more instant hooks to match this, Maddison could conquer American rock airwaves with ease.
Hello there! Good to find you here, what a lovely myspace page I really like your videos, you should add the one in which you act in Italian! Remember? Are you coming down this way any time soon? Love you, Fran.
