An original! Roogalator master and creator of Gusha-Gusha!
Danny Adler is the original guitar master of “Roogalator.” He played with blues greats John Lee Hooker, Slim Harpo, Chuck Berry; James Brown's band and Bootsy Collins. He was in Rocket 88 with Charlie Watts and Ian Stewart from the Rolling Stones and with Nick Lowe. He originated "the smear," his famous guitar technique. Popular on the London pub scene in the 80's, with the Danny Adler Band, he combined blues, funk and his own original sound and songs like “Solid Sender,” “Ain’t Gonna Fight It,” And “Zebra Skin Shopp Assistant.” The Danny Adler Band plays hot rockin funk, rhythm and blues. Danny is writing, singing and performing with the band currently. If you like blues and more, he's the real deal, so, get "All Aboard" and groove to "Cincinnati Fatback."
Hello Danny, you probably forgot but then maybe not, do you remember BEGGARS BANQUET REHEARSAL ROOM in the BASEMENT, Northend Road, Fulham, London, That's where I met you I managed the SHOP at the time, All the Best and hope your doing OK Mike
I 'spose the old adage holds true: You've got to venture far to find out what you're missing at home.
For all the time I lived in the 'Nati- I had to move to Seattle and discover Roogalator's "Cincinnati Fatback" on that Stiff Records comp I bought at the used record store up the street. Such is life....
Keep on funkin' on and I hope to catch a live performance (somewhere on this planet) in the future.
Oh and by the way, whoever wrote the gig previews is very short on English grammar/spelling/meaning. Have you forgotten your 70's roots and become an American, thru'n'thru?! LoL Jus X
Dear chap You have only one comment so here's another! Does this mean you've actually got yourself a computer? I DO hope so, because it would be good to be slightly more in touch after a thousand years or so! By the way, that guitar is very green still. Hope it sounds the same as it used to through the AC. I'm looking for a Fender Twin like your old, heavy ba#tard with EVs - Berenice wants to stick her Rhodes through it.
