Teen Advisory Board (TAB)
Bylaws and Positions....

Objectives: ....

• Help the Library pick materials (books, music, movies, games, software, etc.)....
• Help the Library create programs geared towards YAs....
• Help the Library offer better services for YAs....
• Create an avenue for YAs to volunteer to help the Library and community....
• Create a social network for YAs....

.. .. Mission....:  Strengthen relations between youth and the community by creating new programs and encouraging opportunities for youth to give back to the community.....

Meetings:  Regular meetings shall be held on the first Wednesday of every month at 5pm.  All meetings will take place in the Library's Tech Annex unless otherwise noted.....

Attendance:  All Teen Advisory Board members are strongly encouraged to attend all board meetings. Each Board member is required to attend 80% of the meetings during each term.....

Unexcused Absences and Lack of Commitment: In the event any Board member has an unexcused absence from three or more meetings held during the year of service, the Board Members, with the concurrence of the TAB President, may declare the position vacant and a new member may be appointed.  In the event any Board member shows a lack of commitment to the TAB, the Board Members, with the concurrence of the TAB President, may declare the position vacant and a new member may be appointed.  ....

Agendas: Agendas shall be prepared by the Teen Advisory Board President and the Board members and then sent to the Board members at least five days before regular meeting. Special meetings may be called without preparation of an agenda.....

Annual Report: The Teen Advisory Board shall submit an annual report to the Library Board of Directors outlining its activities for the previous year.....
