When "we" were on the air, WJVS was broadcasting 7:45am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday. We had a teletype from which we read news, sports, weather...even farm reports on the half hour and top of the hours, always backtiming an instrumental to hit the news on time.
Times have changed....
And until the army cadence jingle of Thompson Heating and Air Conditioning started, they had "Da Professor" in front of a chalkboard. If you looked closely to the writings on the chalkboard, you would have seen the power calculations of WJVS. It's been almost 25 years since I graduated but from memory:
2.8V x 300 mA x .61 efficiency = 512.4 watts of pure music power. Great88 WJVS :)
