- In the tango borderline -

A trio from Paris, « All women » coming from classical and contemporary backgrounds, presents a sensitive and passionate homage to the Argentine Tango and the work of Astor Piazzolla.

The musical material of the group is based on a language of modern flavours and the sure charm of the traditional tango : the bandonéon and the guitar as a cultural testimonial, the cello as the symbol of a new generation of tango. In the concept of Trio Contempo, there is the will to go further to work with new composers, such as Leonardo Sanchez, Atanas Ourkouzounov, Rossano Pinelli, Simone Ferraresi, Jürgen Schwenkglenks etc… so to revolutionize the contemporary language of the Argentine tango.

Between the “Sacred tango and the Profane one”, the Trio Contempo brings a moment of strong emotions. In constant evolution the tango is an universal music.

- Embracing heritage and creation -

Formed in 1994 by a melting of French, Italian and Argentine culture and the desire to express their common passion they decide to record their first album in homage to Astor Piazzolla « Voyage à Sorrento ».

Discovered by the renowned label of Turin « FolkclubEthnosuoni », for« their talent and their originality», the group produces the following CD « Live au Folkclub », mixture of tango and excerpts of new composers .

The film producer Malek Bensmail chooses the group to play a scene in his short film « Dêmokratia » for the channel ARTE. The Trio performed live regularly for Radio France and for the Italian television « RAI 3 » on the programme « Italie » with the famous compère G. Milella.

Le Trio performed at internationally acclaimed artist’s side such as : Duo Assad, Pink Martini, Raul Barboza, Cesar Stroscio, Badi Assad Sharon Isbin etc…
