About me:
I went to school at St. John's College (Annapolis, MD, B.A., 1988), Harvard Divinity School (MTS, 1990), and the University of Notre Dame (Ph.D. 1995). I used to write horror fiction constantly in high school, but suddenly stopped when I went to college. Too busy reading, most of it not horror, but just getting ideas and learning to think better. I saw, in particular, that as I studied Christian theology, I was especially fascinated by those writers on the "dark side" - Augustine, Dante, Dostoevsky, Flannery O'Connor, for example. Then last year the horror writing just started back up. First I did Gospel of the Living Dead: George Romero's Visions of Hell on Earth (Baylor, 2006), connecting zombie movies to some of the Christian themes and images I saw in them. Then I took the plunge back into fiction with Dying to Live (Permuted Press, 2007). I'm happy to be doing this once again. Visit my WEBSITE

Who I'd like to meet:
George Romero, of course. The lads of Judas Priest.
