Interests

  • General

.. Texas Football: all teams; Photography, Art of any kind, Finding new pubs with a cool atmosphere and people that don't suck, Drinking new beers and liquors, Writing, Salsa and Clubbing in general, Anime, Eastern Philosophy, Military History, Cigars, the Market, Games where: you shoot other people, drive things, or beat the crap out of them with flippin sweet moves; oh yeah and Fox Hunting :p
  • Music

.. I enjoy every kind of music, seriously. People always comment on how my random mix CD's are truly "random". I can sing along with Amarillo by Morning by George Strait, Black Jesus by Ghostface, Livin' on a Prayer by Bon Jovi; without hesitation. Music is Life.

Utada Hikaru, Autopilot Off, Corry Morrow, Hammerfall, Sarah Mclachlan, Delierium, KMFDM, Wu-Tang Clan, Nas, Jay-Z, George Strait, Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, Frank Sinatra, Enya, Kidney Thieves, Led Zepplin, Dashboard Confessional, Dave Matthews, Brand New, Paul Van Dyk, Guitar Wolf and too many more to mention.

Fiona Apple, Coldplay, Brandnew, and the Man in Black

This Texas songs, cause Texas songs are the best.
    Playlist of the Week
    -=Lone Star Playlist=-

Somewhere Down in Texas - George Strait
Texas bound Train - Cory Morrow
    Southbound 35 - Pat Green
Front Porch Song - Rober Earl Keene
    Luckenbach Texas - Waylon Jennings
God Bless Texas - Lone Star
If your gonna play in Texas - Alabama
  • Movies

.. Once again, too many to mention. I tend to go for directors and actors than any particular film.

Any film directed by Michael Mann, Kevin Smith, Wes Anderson, Robert Rodriguez, the Shaw Brothers, Akira Kurowsowa, and Tarintino.
Movies with Al Pacino, Johnny Depp, Tom Cruise, Will Ferrell, Vince Vaughn, and Brad Pitt tend to be some of my favorites too.

Fight Club, "I want you to hit me as hard as you can."
, Tombstone,"He's probably seeing double." "I got two guns, one for each of ya."
Rushmore, "Say a prayer for surfer boy, where ever he is."
Giant, "Im a rich sum bitch."
  • Television

.. I have a bitter sweet relationship with television. I am going on a year without it, but when its availible I leave it on, like an everlong candle of electiric heroin, not to be stared at because its illumination can be blinding.
I am through with the psycho women stage of my life, but shows like the O.C., Sex and the City, and any show where they throw fucked up people in a strange situation cannot be ignored.
The kid in me still loves the cartoons. They are consistantly funnier and more original that 90% of the crap on the regular networks. Those shows are created soley to cater to a demographic or lifestyle, just to sell commercial time.

Chappelle's Show, Full Metal Alchemist, The Simpsons, and of course monkies flinging poo on Animal Planet.
  • Books

.. Again I go with Authors more than titles:

Hagakure, The Art of War, Notes from Underground, Invisible Man, Lord of the Rings, The Stranger, : these books are studied not just read.

Jack London, R.A. Salvatore, Kurt Vonnigut, Steinbeck, Ambrose: I can read anything by those guys.

Hemmingway, The Book of Five Rings, Hunter S. Thompson, and Ender's Game
  • Heroes

I have a take on heros. Heros are people. People are imperfect. Hence heros are imperfect. So I say, have no heros. Just pure inner strength. Take the qualities from people you admire, be they real or fictional, and bring them out in yourself. Idolize no one but the self. The only real heros there are in this world are good parents who take care of their kids. Those are the people who need to be heros everyday.

That being said, here are some cool people.

El Cid, Sitting Bull, The Invincible, and Bruce Lee

When In doubt make your own hero. My Warcraft character, Vaquero, Tauren Hunter, and his dog Trigger :p, they pwn n00bs.

    Now for something completely different.

Blurbs

About me:

OUT of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate.
I am the captain of my soul.

Invictus,William Ernest Hensly

I'm a native son of Tejas and soldier in the United States Army. Houston Cougar, Knight of Sigma Nu, descendant of Aztec Kings, and consumer of mass quantities of Jolly Ranchers.

I was born, I grew up. So here I am, some where between what I believe is manhood and an adolesence that can't die. I am a hopless martyr for the people I love. I am protective of my family and my name, both of which bring me great pride. Children and cats frighten me for some reason. I like nice things like Italian suits and cuban cigars, and well aged scotch.

Living well is the best revenge.

Who I'd like to meet:

.. Anyone with a good sense of humor. They say variety is the spice of life, but I think its ranch dressing. So if you like ranch dressing, then we could get along. I also wouldn't mind a few new drinking buddies. I need new people to hear my old lies, my current friends have already heard them all five times atleast.
Women...
I like woman with a mission. A woman who knows where she is going and what she wants. Not so much the power broker type, but a woman with a good bullshit detector , the conviction to tell me when I'm wrong, and the cognitive ablitiy to tell me why. She doesn't have to be beautiful to the rest of the world...just me. If she can hold her own at any Halo game...thats always a plus ;)
As far as famous people go...Vincent Van Gogh, The guy who invented SPAM, Natalie Portman, Morgan Webb, George Yepes, and the entire Wu-Tang Clan, cause the Wu-Tang Clan ain't nuttin' to fuck with.

This is how we do
