starting their musical journey back in 2004, 123, in other words "one, two, three" acquired a respectful audience despite giving a limited number of concerts.
123, consists of three musicians that made music together within various projects for many years. and now, dilara's beautiful voice is added as well and the band goes live as a quartet at most times.
the band will release their first album "aksel" at the end of august 2009. "aksel" includes 14 songs, the songs have a following order to tell the story of a boy named aksel, an owl and a whale. for the very beginning of 2010, the band plans to release an ep named "stereo love", this ep contains 7 tracks that were recorded years ago. two more albums entitled "arve" and "anja" will be produced throughout the same year to end the story that was started in "aksel". in between these two albums another ep is due, for the next year's summer.
this band can bewilder you, it can burst you into tears or cheer you up in no time, there are various kinds of live settings that 123 offers, from soft breath vocals to big wild ride cymbals or from a rusty harmonium's dream into a valley full of loved ones. you will feel you're home. it's safe to ride with 123. listening to 123 is like moving in colors. they enhance an inovative vision where anything can happen.
the three members of 123 is also known for their work in dandadadan's "sen bana birini android" (2006) and tamburada's "fantastik" (2004) albums in the past years. with these bands they played in various concerts and festivals both in turkey and europe. some of them are: berlin jazz festival, istanbul jazz festival, akbank jazz festival, simdi-now (stuttgart), rock'n coke, 0090 kunstenfeltival (antwerp) and bridge to turkey festival (munich)..
Incredible calm psychedelic environment generated by the old Rhodes and percussion. And adequate voices. I could listen for hours... Hope to see you someday, as I intend to travel to Istanbul and Ankara.
Hey 123, You got some awesome music. We especially love Mossa, its incredibly relaxing. And Aksel also develops in a very nice way. Its also nice that you use an organ for your songs :) Keep it up bros!
