.. .. Hannah Robinson is a singer and acoustic guitarist based in the Bournemouth area. Performing frequently as a soloist in Dorset and Hampshire, Hannah has gained the reputation of “The Soulfulest Songstress of the South Coast”. Hannah is currently writing for her debut album, set for release later this year, as well as giving more live performances than ever before. Her appearances around the South have attracted a growing fan base. Her soulful, bluesy style – likened by many to that of Janis Joplin and Eva Cassidy – is reaching a new and wider range of audiences. Hannah is a full-time musician, often recognized as front woman for up-and-coming young blues band Paint It Blue, in which Hannah is a key songwriter. “All my heartache, trouble and strife, Love lost and found… When it all gets brought to life, It gets turned around.” Hannah uses personal experiences, thoughts and feelings with her songwriting, and the end result is an honest, soulful and emotive tune. Amongst a great number of blues, soul and indie artists, Hannah credits Sam Cooke as her main musical influence, as well as the contemporary blues/rock styles of Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys. Other influences range from Etta James to The Police and Bob Marley’s Wailers. This year will see the release of Hannah’s debut album, her first collection of original songs. This is a busy time for the young musician, with a diary full of gigs for the summer and beyond, Hannah has a lot to look forward to. “Soulful melodies, a pitch perfect voice and guitar playing to match, Hannah will go far!”
