Jazz., Miles Davis, Coleman Hawkins, Etta James, Billy Holiday, Coltrane, Oscar Peterson, Beth Orton, Joan Baez, James Taylor, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Steely Dan, Tracy Chapin, Jewel, Art Blakely, Ella, BB King, Duke, etc. . . . Also, on the rock side: Tull, Zepplin, Stones, Aerosmith, YES, Floyd, old Beatles, Uriah Heep, The Who.Movies
The MI series have been great escapisim. The Lord of The Rings, one of my all time favorite stories, was well done in the theater. The Star Wars stories were also well done. The action, adventures from Speilberg, Indian Jones, etc, were good movies as well. Most any movie with Harrison Ford was worth watching. The new James Bond was Awesome! (Casino Royale.) The old Clint Eastwood westerns as well as the Dirty Harry series were good movies. Most of what comes out of Hollywood these days is not worth the price of admission. Wait for the DVD or On Demand/Pay Per View.Television
Do not watch too much TV. I liked Bernie Mac, although that show is missing this season. According To Jim. Two (in my opinion) knock out women in Courtney Thorn Smith and Kimberly Williams Paisley. Scrubs also. From the current crop I like: My Name is Earl and The Office. House. Criminal Minds. Cold Case. Heroes and the new one 30 Rock.Books
The Prey Series by John Sandford. Anything Stephen King. Especially The Gun Slinger series. Gorge R.R. Martin's current Sci-Fantasy A Song of Fire and Ice. All of John McDonald's works. All of Kurt Vonnegut's stories. All of the Dick Francis stories.Heroes
Heroes are hard to come by for me. Men and women who go into combat and risk or give their lives are heroes. Or unbalanced. Not sure which. I'd have to say, anyone who has gotten to the top of their heap in a fair and honest way would be a hero. I.E. Bill Gates but not Kenneth Lay. I like the way Martha Stewart took her lumps without crying about it. The punishment seemed a bit harsh for the crime (Lieing to a government weenie.) But, she took her Medicine like a man. Also school teachers. Not the losers that couldn't make it anywhere else in the workforce. As in, (Those that can, do. Those that can't, teach.) But the ones that are in it because they really and truly want to help kids.

About me:
I'm a 45 year old toll taker on the Massachusetts Turnpike. Got a bad comb over, questionable hygiene habits, only seven original teeth and still live with my mother. I buy my clothes at Walmart and Target. I go to family gatherings to meet women. I have a car motor hanging from a tree in my (mother's) front yard. Career upside: The money is good. I get about 20 state holidays, 35 vacation days and 20 sick or personal days a year. You can do a lot of dump picking with that kind of time. Motto, or creed, or creedo, HA! I just made that word up! Motto: I'd rather be lucky than good. Ok, ok. Just kidding. :D I am of the baby boomer generation. I'm in the Aerospace business in Windsor Ct. Currently working in Military Sales and Customer Technical Support. I am married and have 3 (beautiful) daughters. All of whom have gone off and left us. I used to be die hard NASCAR fan but am lately getting away from it. Still love going to Daytona for the 500 in February though. I drive a Black SS, Special Edition, Dale Earnhardt, RCR No.3, Monte Carlo. But, that may soon be traded for a BMW. I enjoy working with computers and servers. Have built and customized many desk top and gaming machines. Currently running my own wireless game server. Running a couple Q3 Areana Death Match servers as Internet Servers. Server names "The Dixie Pig" and "Brookfield166". Server motto: "Frag'em All! Let God Sort'em Out! Enjoy creative writing and commentary. I've had a few of my commentaries published. Will post some of my writings here.Who I'd like to meet:
Stephen King. Dale Earnhardt Jr. Ian Anderson. Abraham Lincoln. .. Goldie Hawn. Joni Mitchel. Bill Gates. Benjamin Franklin. Chris Rock. Denzel Washington. Clint Eastwood. Robin Williams.Details
