Sometimes
it is so easy to forget just how much someone means to you until they
are gone. However once they are gone, it is too easy to realize just
how truly special this person was and how much of an impact they had on
your life and the world. For all of a sudden the world seems so vastly
different and almost strange without them.
When
they were here it was so easy to focus on their many shortcomings,
weaknesses, and human frailties.. But in their absence, all of these
things seem silly, unimportant, and almost trivial now. For the rest
of our lives we will remember yesterday, where we were, and how we
heard the news. But today, as I will try to do, I encourage you to
remember all the folks, friends, and family in your life that are
special to you.. for life is truly precious and sometimes it’s too easy
to forget that.
