LENNON’S GHOST is a musical project created by one person to share his Beatles influenced original music with others. All instruments and vocals and studio work are done by Lennon’s Ghost, with exceptions noted (The drums on the song "Turn To The Window" are played by legendary Badfinger drummer Mike Gibbins - Courtesy of Exile Records). Lennon’s Ghost makes no claim in sounding like, looking like, or having any connection whatsoever with The Beatles other than musical in the spiritual sense, and the belief that The Beatles were, and still remain the greatest rock and roll band of all time. 'Rainbows Cry' is a magical piece in every facet that could possibly comprise a magnificent work of art that we yearn for in all songs and musical pieces. This touches my heart, mind and soul. The vocals flow across me like smooth ripples from a God made stream. The sound and arrangement is over the moon fantastic, with a truly back-to-the-roots and marrow-of-the-bone type of back-beat that brings me into a realm of complete harmony and peace. The kind that can make us sway to the dance of 'no abandonment nor limitations'; the kind that we care not if anyone is watching us dance, nor whether we will have their approval and understanding. It is about Freedom to Be. It is a higher level of consciousness for all to hopefully see. While it is impossible to depart from the drumming, it is also impossible to not jump onto the flutters of the flute sound, taking with us a child-like pureness. There is an influence there of Tull, which is light in spirt, healing, uplifting, fun and oh so beautiful. There is an open question within the lyrics of 'why', but it is not a 'why' that fatigues nor boggles the brain. It is more like a 'statement' of 'why', because that is the wisdom of a well-seasoned human, who understands that the colors in the eyes of rainbows can change with the tear-drops of each rain-fall; and that it never remains the same. An over-all Zen like experience here, for those with vision to understand that there is so much more 'behind' what the eyes see in the physical world. "Take my heart with wind and rain. Set my spirit free. Laid to rest my quest to gain, anything but me." Wisdom indeed. Taking "my soul upon the breeze" now, as I cross to the other side to address the 'fire'. Forever amazed. Forever love.
