I’m a 60 year young rock mama, enjoying my ride.
Past life: I had a blast growing up as a musician in the explosive music scene of the 70’s/80’s, playing in the Pleasure Seekers and Cradle, with sis NANCY QUATRO (now manager of kick ass OVERSCENE and a tearoom in Dallas,
sis ARLENE QUATRO, soul extraordinaire, wisest one in
family, and SUZI QUATRO (LEATHER TUSCADERO of HAPPY DAYS), I also played with my keyboard genius bro, MICHAEL QUATRO before I headed out to join FANNY in Los Angeles. Life was never boring as we toured, rocked, jammed, hung with the bands of that era like: YES, DAVID BOWIE, THE WHO, JEFF BECK, JOPLIN, PETER FRAMPTON, AEROSMITH, MOUNTAIN, CREAM, CHUCK BERRY, SANTANA, BOB SEGER, MC 5, TED NUGENT, THE STOOGES, ROLLING STONES, LED ZEPPELIN, JOHN LENNON, RASCALS, VANILLA FUDGE, TINA TURNER, JEFFERSON AIRPLANE (jammin in our garage in the middle of the night, joined by my dad in his boxer shorts…..that kind of says it all...Music was a big deal in my family, and very supported.) My dad's dream was to be in showbiz, and he passed on that legacy to his kids and grandkids.
Education: U of Michigan got in the way of my passion for music, so I left to take it on the road! No regrets—-Life touring the world was quite an education in bigger ways...wouldn’t trade those experiences for anything.
Present Life: Rocked it for 18 years, then traded in guitar for married life behind the scenes, running
our rock and roll touring business, STARFLIGHT TRAVEL out of Austin, TX, live music capital. Did the totally fulfilling kid thing (2 terrific girls--mama is totally prejudiced!!!) I now struggle with the mixed bag of empty nest (days of lovin it and hatin it), with both my girls gone at college. Obviously, my kids are MAJOR in my life.
They are both at USC in lala land...back to their roots!
I’m also involved with the LIFEWAVE nanotechnology products, which is exciting (see website).
