12 Around 1

Bio:

"12 Around 1" formed officially in early spring 2008. Keyboardist Ben Rafferty and Guitarist Marcus Messina had come together some months earlier and began honing material out of both players previous portfolios. While also working on new songs that would soon become the base of the bands material. In March of 2008 the Mobile Chiefing Unit played their final show leaving members, (including Messina) Michael Beck, and Eric Bosch searching for another serious project. Joining forces with local bassist Chuck Baker completed the 5 piece ensemble. The Band spent the following few months developing the songs of Rafferty and Messina as well as writing new songs and adding a few covers. In May of 2008 "12 around 1" began their first official recordings (due out any time now!) at he Passion Presents Studios in Arcata, CA. Expect to hear intricate melodies over thick layers of varied sonic textures delving from one genre to the next seamlessly and seemingly effortlessly. The band is currently opening bookings for the rest of 2008 and early 2009 with plans of coming your way soon! .. .. ......
