Drew Mantia's albumSave Yourself has just been sent out for manufacturing. His cd release party is scheduled here in St.Louis, at Roadhouse 61 on Nov. 28th. It's been along wait but this album is fresh and ready to turn heads. If you can't make the cd release party, the album will soon be available for purchase on the 12 Bar website and myspace!
Javier Mendoza has just released "It's Good To Be Live Vol. 2". Travis King and Larry Cowsert recorded and did the live sound for the outdoor event this past spring, and it came out great! The cd does an incredible job of translating what a great show Javier can generate. You can hear track 8 "Beautiful" right here on our myspace.
We have just begun recording a gospel album for Andrew Whitten. Andrew is a great christian song writer, and will do well in the christian and country listening community. This music really inspires and give hope to all that listen.
Since the first of the year, we have done dozens of sessions for independent artists that included tracking, mixing, and/or mastering. We've done projects for Javier Mendoza, John Shields Band, Pam Green, TriTone, Andrew Whitten, Relation, Dan Leonard, Bottoms Up Blues Gang, C-Box Prophets, FolknBluesGrass and others. So we continue to say:
THE MORE PASSIONATE ARTISTS GET ABOUT THEIR MUSIC, THE MORE THEY TURN TO 12 BAR!!!
Last Fall, we were honored to be hosts to SKIP SAYLOR (you can check Skip out here: http:..www.skipsaylor.com) for several weeks. Skip is a very well known LA Producer/Engineer/Studio Owner. He has been involved ... in one way or another ... with such multi-platinum projects as Guns 'n' Roses "Use Your Illusion 1 and 2", k.d.lang's "Constant Cravings", Eminem's "Slim Shady", Eddie Money's "If I Could Walk On Water", and dozens of others. One look at the central hallway at his San Fernando Valley studio gives you a clue as to how many Gold and Platinum projects he's been a part of.
On October 21st, 2007 Mike Rowe from the hit Discover Channel show Dirty Jobs came into 12 Bar to do some voice overs for the show. He was in St.Louis to film a Dirty Jobs episode down on the riverfront. We had a great time working with Mike, and were honored that he picked 12 Bar to work with. There are pictures in our pics link.

This daughter ya Blazing "Nuff fire" with energized Word and Sound Power Reggae Music. Different to most Female Flow... I see you loving the Songs ! Give thanks for Coming to my space and leaving such wonderful uplifting comments.
I'm blessed to have a career making music that has bridged parts of five decades, so far... & I've pretty much flown under the radar... by being the "un-named singer for this band or that band"... or by being an "anonymous sideman for a host of R&B legends"... or "the guy playin' at the piano bar, in one of many cities along the east coast, whose soulful voice lingered in your mind for days or weeks".
I am Dave Foraker... a piano-poundin', storytellin', blues-singin' son of a gun... an old school entertainer, who learned my craft as I worked as a sideman for The Coasters, The Drifters, Spyder Turner, Maurice Williams, Percy Sledge, Marcel Evans, Thomas "Guitar" Gable & Clifford Curry.
I toured the "blues circuit" as a bandleader/vocalist/"bluesfiddler"... & have played piano bars from Alton, IL to Richmond, VA to Jacksonville, FL. I was honored to win the prestigious Low Country Blues Bash in February 1996... & was named "One Of The Top Ten Indie Artists of 2002".
My 4th CD,"Thank The Lord", a 2004 homage to Black Gospel, crossed over onto the Southern Gospel charts (#66 on the October 2005 Singing News Top 80)... which opened the door for me to work with The Journeymen Quartet and Karen Peck & New River.
I'm completing my 11th season at The Biltmore Estate Winery. Thanks to Hannah & Patricia in Special Events... & to Bruce, Spence & the crew at The Winery for the opportunity to entertain at America's premier tourist attraction, The Biltmore Estate!
