About me: Welcome to 12 Crane! An exciting new Arts and Entertainment complex located here in Southbridge, Massachusetts!
Check out our new website www.12crane.com
12 Crane houses a host of different business bringing renewed life to the surrounding communities. Included in the project are: The Hop Vine Cafe, an upscale restaurant offering fine dining in a warm, welcoming atmosphere, with fabulous views of the Quinebaug River; The Dark Horse Tavern, an Irish/English Pub; Honest Town Brewery, where we will brew our own beer; Cannery Hall where we will showcase live music, theater, auctions and more; Cable Car Cigars offering fine cigars and sundries; and a river concourse featuring Sturbridge Coffee Roasters, 12 Crane Pastry Studio and cool treats from Aoìfe’s Ices. A seasonal Farmers Market will bustle near a beautifully landscaped area overlooking the rapids of the Quinebaug. You will also find a world of fine art at 12 Crane. Seven artists' studios, a project space and gallery makes 12 Crane a thriving and ever-changing destination and a great place to spend a memorable day.
Please keep checking in with the site for bulletins, blogs and photos as we progress towards completion!
A truly wonderful addition to the community. The tavern has an interesting atmosphere and very cozy. A great place to meet with friends!
The Sevengaits gallery and studio spaces is phenomenal. The first exhibit opened on Thursday, June 28th, 2007 to great acclaim. Noelle Nevolo, Eddi Phillips and Ariel Kotker have set a very high standard and assuring us that one does not have to live in Boston or New York to find art of high caliber.
The perpetual exhibit is offered by John Ferrara's sculptural piece, on the west side of the building, entitled: "Silent Spring: in homage to Rachel Carson". Three entertwined cranes remind us of the commitment to the environment that has been the focus of the 12 Crane project. A portrait of James Joyce is also on display in the River Run.
