After attending the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, I was selected in the second round of the 1985 draft by Philadelphia Eagles, with whom I remained through the 1995 season. During the latter years my relations with Ray Rhodes, then the Eagles' head coach, became strained, and announced my retirement from football following the end of that season, taking a job as an analyst for TNT in 1996. The following year, however, I resumed my playing career, with the Minnesota Vikings from 1997 through 1999, the Dallas Cowboys in 2000(I Know, I know), and the Baltimore Ravens in 2001, before re-signing with the Philadelphia Eagles and retiring for good in 2002.I won the NFL MVP award in 1990, the height of the 'Ultimate Weapon' stories, and again after his comeback with Minnesota in 1998.
I won a cult following after my "non-appearance" in the 1991 Nintendo Entertainment System video game, Tecmo Super Bowl. Since I was not a member of NFL Player's Association marketing agreement, my name was replaced with QB Eagles. My video incarnation is considered by some as the greatest "video game athlete" of all time.
According to NFL.com, I had the 7th most productive QB season in fantasy football in 1990:
7. Randall Cunningham, Philadelphia (1990): At a time when pocket passers such as Marino, Warren Moon and Joe Montana were the norm, Cunningham's rocket arm and immense skills as a runner revolutionized the quarterback position. Once known as the "Ultimate Weapon," Cunningham recorded 443 points on 3,466 passing yards, a career-best 942 rushing yards and 35 total touchdowns in what was an MVP season in 1990.

I still remember going to watch you & Chris Carter when you faced the Eagles for the 1st time as a Viking up in the Metrodome. I wore my old school kelly green soaring eagle jacket. That was the only day I ever cheered for the Eagles to lose; because of you and since Chris was on my fantasy team. Thanks for the memories.
