12 in Twelve

Bio:

'12 in Twelve' was born out of a challenge set by Jay Stansfield ( also in the band SAY- http://www.myspace.com/saytheband ) to write 12 songs in Twelve days. It was a difficult challenge but out of its crazy design came some beautiful songs.

"Not all of them are worthy of an album release but I wrote 12 songs in Twelve days nonetheless. I think the album will probably end up having 10 of those songs on it- with the other 2 placed quietly in a musical cupboard somewhere" claims Jay.

The album 'Twelve Songs in Twelve Days' will be seeing a release on Ocarina Records (http://www.ocarinarecords.co.uk ) sometime in the future after its studio tart-up by Rob Ashworth (also in SAY and also in beautiful folk outfit 'Gaunt Story'- http://www.myspace.com/gauntstory).

In the meantime it felt right to give you beautiful and lovely human beings of planet earth something to listen to and digest- so here are the demos.

"I hope you enjoy the songs that emerged out of this challenge as much as I enjoyed writing them. I can't wait until Uncle Rob helps me to record them and turn them into something more special!" said Jay, as he slowly drifted off to sleep...
