* The sign of CHRISTMAS is a star, a light in darkness. See it not outside yourself, but shining in the Heaven within, and accept it as the sign the time of Christ has come (A Course in Miracles, T-15...XI.2:1). . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . * Amidst the VERY EXOTIC record collection of my dear friend Captain Nemo in Munich, I stumbled on a delightful Christmas album recorded in Hawaii in 1949 (though some sources suggest 1959): Mele Kalikimaka by Arthur Lyman. Surprisingly, the lush arrangements left plenty of room for vocals, so I seized the opportunity to apply a loving irony to a few of my favorite Christmas classics – indeed, just enough for 12 Minuten von Christmas (recorded in Germany). *
last night i played a song from the pornorama 12" and it turned out that my barman had been serving drinks at roter salon the night that you were hosting them there (back in the days...). remember that night? it was great fun. and it is a small world indeed.
i am taking your cd up to my grandparents tonight and making the listen to it. i think seeing you in the snow globe is going to be the biggest thing ill miss about this christmas!
Awesome. I forgot to tell you when I was talking to you at the show, but on top of the extremely cool concept, you have a very, very good voice. You were pitch perfect the whole night, and that just makes it that much better.
I really enjoyed what you did last night at Cafe Coco. It was bold, beautiful, and funny as hell. Now, everytime I look at a snow globe, I'll smile and have a little chuckle. I know I mentioned this to you, but you really do have a wonderful singing voice. Keep up the great work! Christmas is upon us. I'm sure you'll be very busy.
Thank you for the cd. I'll be enjoying it over the holidays.
