David, I miss hearing you play and playing with u too!! You are one of my favorite pianists mayn. Your playing touches me in ways no one else's can. Not to get weird on you or anything. You know what I'm saying. Hope all is well with you.
Here is a thing my heart wishes the world had more of: I heard it in the air of one night when I listened to a mother singing softly to a child restless and angry in the darkness.
Wuttup dave, gotta party bus for my birthday comin up friday, u n ur girl should come. 50$ a head but covers drank, plasma screens n limo seats n club entry. hit me back if u wanna roll
For some reason I woke up thinking about this: (but now i can't remember the wording). Jazz education is OK. Infact, many of the jazz teachers I've studied with have their own method or plan of attack. And (here's the point), if you're coming from a classical background as I am, a method to the madness is more than welcome. Because the linear organization of principles is what builds the house-or gives direction and meaning and the necessary challenge to motivate students. Bach didn't figure out tonal harmony in one day. (It would be interesting to research the changes in his writing from his early works to his late ones--I don't know if much study has been given to that--maybe he did just come out of the womb being able to write preludes and fugues-to some extent we all do..) Ok, have a nice morning!
yo whats good? that was my first time hearing that recording. I got 2 get a copy of that......anyway we have to hang when your not caught up in the books.....holla
