About me: Interests:
1. The JFK Assassination. I have read over 30 books on the subject, including the complete Warren Commission Report (3 times)
2. The Mercury/Gemini/Apollo space programs. The 40th anniversary of the Moon Landing is coming up, so I'm excited about that! I'm probably the only person you know who has read the COMPLETE mission transcripts from the first 3 moon missions. (over 700 pages each!)
3. D-Day, the Normandy Invasion, and WWII as a whole. If Tom Hanks ever makes a JFK movie, I guess he and I will pretty much be the same person, hobby-wise. Between "Band of Brothers", "Saving Private Ryan", and "The Longest Day" I am a bona fide D-day buff.
Who I'd like to meet: Jim Lovell: commander of Apollo 13 and holds the record for most miles travelled in space.
Lee Harvey Oswald: If only to get him to admit he acted alone
Major Richard Winters: The de facto leader of "Band of Brothers" and a genuinely fascinating person
George Lucas: Made some popcorn movies back in the '70s.
Hint: add "Doo-Dah, Doo-Dah" to the end of each headline, and sing to the tune of "Camptown Races"
Ya! I think it was well worth it! I had a great time with you guys! I had gotten a haircut sometime earlier this year so I wish I had known I would be hitting up AX 'cus my hair seems too short and those first 2 days I did Spike (Fri and Sat) my hair fell quite fast due to sweat! Day 4 I wore it again and my hair actually stayed, more or less! The day where there are no photoshoots... IBlahh
I love the SR-71 also. That and the F4 too. Just cool looking all around. We will be planing on another show there some time in Jan or Feb. I will let you know.
