.. .... ...... ..__ ..Born with a natural talent, and an eye for the arts, Brea Joseph has had music in her blood since birth. The second daughter of a singing/ songwriting father and granddaughter to a gospel singing grandmother, Brea naturally made her way into leading roles for San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter Theatre by the early age of 8. ....__As time went on, she tried print and runway modeling which still pays the bills, for companies like L'oreal, Baby Phat, Sean Jean,Wella, DKNY,Rocca Wear and more. She also did and still is doing (SAG) work for numerous TV shows and commercials like , Entourage, Sprint, McDonald's, Allstate Lincoln Mercury, and Toyota just to name a few. At the tender age of 20, she started pursuing her dream and career as a singer and songwriter. Though she had wrote songs for many years, she never thought her words could felt through fans like they are these days. She started off with studio work, writing, and singing hooks for various bands and groups. She's collaborated with artist such as Keith Murray ,Rhettmatic, Killah Priest of Wu Tang,Exile,Rock of Heltah Skeltah/Boot Camp Clik,Tajai of Hieroglyphics/Souls of Mischief,Blu,Aloe Blacc, Abstract Rude,OHNO, Dannu of Visionaries, and currently, Deep Rooted (Mr. Brady, J.O.H.A.Z, Brea, DJ Artistic, ....__Deep Rooted has opened up for music artists and venues such as Public Enemy, KRS-ONE, The Roots, Common, Poncho Sanchez, Kurtis Blow,Lupe Fiasco , Boot Camp Clik, The San Diego Music Awards, in which they received best hip hop album for in 2005 & 2006 , 2009 and best hip hop group in 2010,The Vans Warped Tour in 2004,05,07, The House of Blues and Coors Amphitheater just to name a few from a long list. Oh, and if you want to check Deep Rooted out on your current video game console, try NBA 2K6&NBA 2K7, and the XBOX commercial for the game.In 2006 they also received the outstanding performance award at the Urban Network conference. Other milestones for Deep Rooted ,were being a Myspace featured artist and featured video next to Kanye West "Heartless", an ITUNES indie Spotlight featured artist ,and their single "Crazy" winning the "Freshman Selection " and making it onto the MTV video rotation. Influencing Brea is an eclectic, stylish music mix with Prince, Otis Redding, Mariah Carey, Gwen Stefani, Anita Baker and Lauryn Hill, rounding out her top six. There are many, many more. But because there is no particular type of music she like more than another, other than it being considered "great music" to her, she tries to portray that same likeness and energy through her music and style. Brea writes and engineers all her own material, writing about life experiences that everyone can relate to, while keeping it original yet beautifully unique. She has engineered and mixed down artist and projects such as Deep Rooted's self tilted album three D.E.E.P.R.O.O.T.E.D,Dannu of Visionaries,Shotta Crew Dubplates which include Keith Murray,The Delphonics,Kia Shine, The Fu Schnickens,Mr Brady's "Labor of Love" Compilation, Damu,Smigg Dirty,Just Brea and Johaz as "Beautiful Strange" album, Radio Drops for Blazin 98.9 ,KJLU,Illfonix Show on Jazz 88.3,Sugar Bear, a solo ep coming soon produced by CHIEF of Feelin' Music and numerous compilations here in the states and over seas that she's featured on. ....__With thousands of clichéd lyrics on the radio these days, this woman is about to show them a new diamond they just can't resist.
