Saturday, September 12 At Mount Doom (2003 W Cermak/Damen) $6 donation/whatever you can give. Benefit for Jonah Larrama. My friend Jonah needs to raise serious $$$ to get his green card so he doesn't have to get sent back to El Salvador. Bands: Abrade (grinding violence. yall know what's good) La Armada (epic political hardcore) American Ethic (crusty melodic peace punk from the south suburbs) Deathbed Conversion (progressive post punk from highland, IN) Others TBA I did not try to get a touring band because it is kind of difficult to give a touring band gas money when you're raising money to help keep a friend in this country. I also think it's important to have all local shows to build more of a sense of community and bring OUR SCENE together for reasons other than just to see touring bands (which is also fucking awesome, regardless). Please come out and show support. Party hard, but please donate before you spend all your money on beer.
