About me: I try to live a simple life, in tune with nature and living according to instinct. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. I’ve spent time in the mountains, spent time on the Hill (in Boulder, CO), lived on the prairie, lived in the jungles of Belize, hiked in the desert, camped in snowstorms, worked outside through Oklahoma summers, danced in the Colorado rain, built hiking trails under the Montana big sky, built rock staircases to the sky in Maine, crossed oceans, hugged trees, grown my own vegetables, grown my own beard, built a high tolerance to everything except hatred, lived in a tipi, owned businesses, laughed with others, laughed at myself, laughed for no particular reason, acquired a couple of college degrees, written letters, written run-on sentences, written papers, flown home, driven home, biked home, walked home, hitch-hiked home, lost my attachment to the place I used to think was home, painted masterpieces, painted walls, contemplated the meaning of life, chanted with Nichiren Buddhists, stayed in a Catholic monastery, meditated with Taoists, taught a photography class, taught myself how to bake from scratch, worked as a Jesus impersonator, raised a little Hell, gone to Hell (Michigan), experienced Heaven on Earth… And have tried to make life my art through it all. Life is what you make of it. Currently having the next adventure in the Grand Canyon.
