Having graduated from Vocaltech after completing a Popular Music Performance Degree I am now focussing on building a career as a professional musician. Moving to London to study music meant that I met all the people I now have the pleasure of working with. I have been gigging extensively throughout the United Kingdom with various projects ranging from cover bands to original outfits.
I am an experienced Session Vocalist and my work includes the television advert for Belvedere Vodka which was aired earlier this year in America.
I have played live and pre-recorded sessions on various radio stations including BBC 6 Music, Radio France and Xfm Scotland.
CURRENT PROJECTS
I write and perform lead vocals for a band called
Elyzian! We are a fantasy pop-rock super-sextet currently gigging over London. Don't miss us live - you will not be disappointed I promise!
I am also working with an Icelandic singer Hafdis Huld
(some of you may remember her as part of the famous Icelandic band Gus Gus
). Hafdis' music is quirky folk/pop and highly addictive! I perform live with her doing backing vocals and playing keyboards and glockenspiel. We have just finished supporting Paolo Nutini
on part of his UK tour. We played at venues including Shepherds Bush Empire, Birmingham Carling Academy, Nottingham Rock City, Aberdeen Music Hall, The Barrowlands in Glasgow amongst others - all the gigs were sold out!!
Come and see either of these gigs!! - The amount of glitter present at both is something not to be missed!!
I am also a backing vocalist for Elvis Impersonator Heath Ashton. Heath was the winner of GMTV's 'Britain's Best Elvis' competition and has played exclusive gigs in Las Vagas and Memphis for the official Elvis Anniversary celebraions.
PRIVATE TUITION
I have experience as a Vocal Coach teaching adults and children so if anyone is interested in having private Vocal lessons with me (I live in South East London) please feel free to send me a message via myspace!
Hey Sarah! It's been a while, how are you? I'm finally starting to get somewhere with the band thing. Might even be gigging within the next couple of months! Hope you're doing alright and hopefully we'll catch up sometime soon...
Hello darrrrrrling ! I just wanted to say thanks for a great gig on thursday, it is always a pleasure sharing a stage with you. I loved having you here in Iceland. xxxxxxxxx Hafdis P.S. Julian walks around the house looking for you.
are you coming to Scotalnd then? it's gonna be movies and fun times :)...if not dinner around your hood this time...near the bridge...spooky yet intreeging
True to my word, I'm going to try and get to your gig in Sheffield on the 24th. Just need to make sure my mate has the night off work. I haven't seen an Elvis impersonator in years, so I'm really looking forward to it.
Any chance he'll do "Patch it Up"? It's a great, up-beat tune from the "That's the Way it is" soundtrack but it never really appeared on anything else other than the '70s box set, so only real hard-core / saddos like me have heard it. It is really cool though and definitely worth trying to squeeze it in if you can.
Hi Sarah! Long time! Thanks for the add! I hope you doing well with your music and you keep your self busy! Nice to talk to you again! I hope to see you soon!
Hope your well, and not hungover still from your mad weekend!
Yeh, London was cool as always. Went to see a band Friday and fell asleep on the toilet at the bar, lol. I was tired from driving down! Also learnt how to play poker.
Dont know when Il be down next, gonna have to check my busy diary!! The sooner the better.
Hows you? Sorry its late but happy birthday!!! Im bloody useless. lol. Hope you got loads more glitter to add to your collection. Its been a bit mad here, especially at work with the floods and stuff. I got trapped at work, so the coucil made a make-shift road for me to escape!!
how goes the hectic gigging life? I'm cool lots going on..mainly teaching and getting this silly masters outa the way, moved to west hampstead so now closer to primrose hill..dinner some time? a catch up is in order :)
I hear you have been partying with Paolo Nutini in Strasbourg last night? What's next on the tour schedule? Looking forward to catching up with you, Loads of love, J&Dxx

Oh dear, it's all gone pear-shaped! The BBC have scrapped the 5000 votes that were submitted in the thrilling 'London Anthem' competition, after noticing discrepancies in voting patterns. It seems that some desperate low-lifes have been disabling their cookies - Tools/Internet Options/Privacy/High (for all you innocents) - and entering several hundred votes at a time. You may have noticed that Kevans & Kevans were in the lead for the first few days of the competition, however, those nameless pesky cheats put an end to all that by throwing in 3000 dodgy votes.
So, the competition has started all over again and we, no, your country needs you to vote again (as your previous vote has been cancelled along with the other 4999 votes) for the best song for London: London Fields. Follow this link to vote and give yourselves a pat on the back for your good deed ... and remember to forward this email to friends, relatives and people you hardly know: http://www.bbc.co.uk/london/content/articles/2007/05/03/2012_anthem_nominations_feature.shtml
