Currently I'm casting for the following film "No Warning" which includes: Cuba Gooding Jr., Omar Gooding, Young Buck, Kel Mitchell (Kenan & Kel), Candance Carey (Drumline), Parker Mc Kenna Posey (My Wife & Kids), Patrick Kilpatrick (Minorty Report)and Fredro Starr. "No Warning" trailer: I'm the CEO of Kim Tumey Entertainment, which started Sept. 2004 in Dallas, Texas now based in Atlanta, GA. DO NOT E-MAIL me and tell me to listen to your music or go to your page and you haven't even introduced yourself as you'll be wasting your time. Please learn how to talk on the phone as everyone communicates differently! You only get one (1) chance to make a good impression. If your not serious about YOU, why should we be? Please read before you e-mail us questions: Common questions? 1. Question: I would like for KTE to hear my music and work with me as a unsigned artist. Answer: Currently KTE has been blessed with a lot of work and we are only considering artist with a fan base. 2. I'm a actor trying to break into the biz. I have no money and no manager. Answer: If you live in small town USA you probably won't get a big gig if you're not in the right cities like L.A. or New York. So go where the action is and if you have no money or manager try getting a agency to represent you. Once you have signed on with a manager/ agency they will send you out on casting calls. 3. I'm a rap / r&b singer/rock/jazz artist trying to get my music heard. Answer: First you need a team of people and a surplus of radio ready music. Once you do that you need to do a mix tape or be apart of a mix tape and have your dj join a dj pool. When you join the dj pool it will let you know if your music is good or not before you go and print up 5,000 copies that won't sell. The dj's in the pool are the dj's on the local radio station's and clubs around the country. So, I highly suggest TJ's DJ's Record Pool.....google them or try looking in myspace!!!! 4. I'm a model/child model do you work with models. Can you refer me? Hmmm, NO I don't know you so please don't ask. I've NEVER asked anyone to refer me, how dare you! Earn your spot and people will support you as well as refer you. 6. I need a manager if you're to busy can you send me to someone? Again, no...I don't refer people that I don't know and why would I if I've never heard your music or even had a conversation with you. Also, it's a blessing to have a manager so communicate, respect and work as a team with your manager. I see a lot of people wanting a manager but don't want to listen to their manager, then wonder why they can't make it. In any business you can NOT wait for things to fall into your lap. So, if you want to model, then go where models go. If you want to book artist, then go where the labels hang out. More than anything keep your word, do what you say you will do. Don't bother people and ask them to set-up a meeting and you never call or show up. You will need income to promote yourself. There are a lot of good singers out there, but do you have it all? Are you fly? Hard working? Can you sing, dance, perform wooo a crowd? Do people have to baby sit you before you will make a move for yourself? These are the questions I ask. If you said no to that last question, then you should have a video or dvd of your perfomance along with your music. Please....Please do NOT send out music or any other material if it is not professional. Now, if you have a relationship with someone at a label that is different. If you are not ready, meaning you do not have a press kit, photos and etc., please don't bother people about helping you until you take care of your business. I wish you guys the best of luck. How I got started, well I was watching a movie called Motives in Feb. 2004 written by now good friend Kelsey Scott and loved it. So, I wanted to know who had written it so I could find other movies they may have had out. So, I went to google Kelsey and couldn't find anything about her. Weird for me to have that much interest for some reason, anyway I searched for about 2 weeks then finally I found a message board (old message board might I add) no one had been on there for about 6-9 months. So, I said what the heck and I left her a message stating how much I enjoyed the movie and that I lived in Dallas and we don't have Red Carpet events. I also stated that if she ever needed any help I'd be more than happy to help her once she came to Dallas. Now, remember that was Feb.of 04 and I was in the mortgage biz and in Aug. of 04 out of the blue I just got tired of it and decided to quit. I prayed to God for guidance since I had NO plan and now jobless. Well, Sept. of 04 comes around and my phone rings, hmmmmm guess who it is Ms. Kelsey Scott my earth angel is what I call her now. By this time I have forgotten about her, then she reminds me of the messgae board and goes on to tell me what she had been doing. Kelsey then proceeded to ask me what I did for a living. Well, I laughed and said nothing now I just quit my job and told her how that came about. Kelsey went on to say well in your message to me you said that you would not mind putting Red Carpet events together and that they would be doing a part 2 to Motives. Kelsey stated that if you're serious I will hook you up wth Vivica A. Fox who starred in the movie as well as Sean Blakemore who now is my mentor and good friend. So that my friend is how I got started! Gosh when God has something for you, NO One can take it! Stand still and let God work for you and your dream will happen sooner.
