13th floor music is a fiercely independent record store located in seymour, indiana...more specifically, 111 north chestnut street. (812.522.5400; open monday through saturday 10a-10p, closed sundays.) the newest releases (on both cd and vinyl), old favorites new and used (on both cd and vinyl), t-shirts, incense, dvds (new and used), stickers, and other assorted accessories are to be found within. if you don't see what you want, please ask...it will gladly be ordered for you at no additional charge. all genres are usually stocked and having everything for everybody all the time would be awesome...but that's kinda hard to accomplish...but i try. the doors opened on november 19, 1995…& it’s been a long, strange trip since day one. in its twelve+ years, 13th floor has constantly withstood slander, rumor, & an almost-monthly erroneous suggestion of its liquidation sale. 13th floor is NOT going out of business anytime soon; it has too many great customers who not only rely on it, but also gratefully keep it in business. although technology is beginning to change to a more digital format, 13th floor will continue to strive to keep REAL music lovers happy, & welcomes the chance to be your music dealer. 13th floor will do its very best to meet your needs as a music lover. music = life.
13th floor is also the worldwide distributor for the group SOULS AT ZERO. "worldwide distributor" is a fancy way of saying 13th floor bought up all the remaining copies from the now-defunct record label, but hey...they're a great group! remember wratchchild america? they became souls at zero. you should buy their cds; 2 full-lengths & an EP for only $20.
13th floor is a "concrete approved" store…concrete approved samplers (free with purchase) & the sale prices, as well.
A NOTE TO PEOPLE WHO ARE PROSPECTIVE FRIENDS: before you request me as a friend, i will accept NO racists, sexists, nor nationalists. if you're going to send out bulletins espousing your twisted beliefs, i don't want any part of it. keep your "pride" & hate-mongering (& confederate flags) to yourself. also, if you forward that bulletin titled "i'm not racist but it's true!" (a.k.a. "damn proud to be white")...expect to be deleted a.s.a.p. because you ARE racist for forwarding it. my patience is wearing quite thin of the "illegal alien" bulletins, too. oh, the hypocrisy.
