About me:

13th Floor is a friendly club night playing tasty 60's garage, pop, psychedelia and soul treats every couple of months in hip, swinging, stinky London.

Swing by the website at www.13thfloorclub.com. Also there are more pics to look at over on the left there.

Myspace is rubbish, isn't it? - please join the facebook group.(<- click on there)

NB: I'm not actually 43 and neither is the club. I took the release date of The Kinks 'All Day and All of the Night' as the 13th Floor birth date. Or was it 'You Really Got Me'? ..

13th Floor is back on August 1st with guest djs Nick Saloman and Paul Simmons (The Bevis Frond, The Scene) plus the return of The Actionettes!
Five hours of prime 60s goodness including:
Sneery garage punk! Pop and rock classics! Bubblegum fun! Psychy headswirlers!

9-2: FREE before 10, then £5, at The Albany, 240 Great Portland Street, London
Next to Great Portland Street tube.

..

Who I'd like to meet:

People who like dancing to 60s music without feeling obliged to get dressed up to the hip max first. Though if you want to wear the gear, of course, you're very welcome too. No pretension or obscurity points at 13th Floor. Yes, there's loads of primal Nuggetsy weirdness, but we also spin groups that non-obsessives will have heard of. Don' t fear the Vox Teardrop! ..

Where else will you hear 'Hey Conductor' and 'Have I the Right?' ? 'On the Road South' by The Stereo Shoestring and 'Bits and Pieces' by The Dave Clark 5? Who else will indulge your passion for 'A Disappointing Love Affair with a Desensitized Robot' by 101 Strings, all 14 minutes of 'New Generation' by The Chambers Brothers and Petula Clark's French language version of The Kinks' 'Well Respected Man'?

God, I'm talking about me again. Let's talk about you.
