Forged in the black woods of southern Maine at the turn of the century. 13 Winters, has released their second full length album “Dark Palace Of Waterfalls” just last October. With the help of Grammy award winner Jay Frigoletto(X-Men 2 Soundtrack, Damage Plan, Kittie, Shadows Fall) and the 22-piece Unus Vir Symphony Orchestra, the album has become a fast growing comeback release for the band. So far it has yet to receive a single bad review and word is getting out that 13 Winters is back with a vengeance, determined to show the people of Maine and beyond a professional, full-bodied, European metal style not accomplished by any local band.
13 Winters has been long known for being fronted by Diana Adams, who’s death-growl vocal styles have not been matched. Another trademark of 13 Winters has been Roy Adams, A multi-talented musician who is the band’s Keyboardist and Violinist. The self proclaimed “Darkest keyboardist in Maine” has recently become the band’s drummer while maintaining his role as the provider of orchestrations.
Now a 3 piece, they provide the music of a 6 piece band, even in their live shows. Writing for their third full length album has now begun. They anticipate a new release by mid-2010.
Meticulously crafted and uttely expansive, "A New Constellation" combines the best cross sections of Prog-Rock and Jazz infused Art-Metal with a healthy dose of Doom oriented melancholy.
