I grew up in the hills of West Virginia, where my father worked in a chemical factory and my mother was a nurse. I'm the oldest of five siblings. While teaching at Salem College, I met my beautiful wife, Gloria Squitiro. We've been married over 25 years and we have two kids, Tara and Andrew.

As a citizen of Kansas City and a representative of 600 people supporting light rail, I hope to see you move forward in building a light rail system in our city.
