your life. Most movies began producing soundtracks in the late 50's and
kicked it into gear in the 1970's where they were in competition with
general pop albums. What were your favorites when you were younger and
has that changed? Call in with the toll free hot line, through your
computer with SKYPE or utilize my chat room. I will be discussing the
various musicians most known for soundtrack excellence. In the beginning
basically musicals had a soundtrack and that was it. Then little, by
little, general films Like STAR WARS, SUPERMAN, JAWS and the James Bond
films began to make their presence known with unforgettable scores. Even
smaller films like CHARIOTS OF FIRE scored legendary themes helping to
promote not only the album but the film itself. John William, Jerry
Goldsmith,Bernard Herrmann, Maurice Jarre, John Barry, Franz Waxman and
many more exploded on the music scene and have gone down in Hollywood
history for their scores. Do you have favorite composers
or soundtracks that you feel more people should know about, please call
