Yup, it's me again, posting to the ol' MultipleScl-... MYSPACE yet again. And considering i haven't updated the blog since February (OMGNOES!!1), i figured it's as good a time as any to let you in on what's been happening in my world...
And the answer for $500, Alex? Nothing. Yup, diddly squat - still no progress on anything at any rate in any context. Hope it turns around though. The lackadaisicality of any operation having to do with all things intarweb and artage-wise in the past couple of years now is getting on my nerves. MY GOD, I WANNA DO SOMETHING! *furry emo violin*
Aside from doing dick with the website and with furry artwork, you know... i was doing the usual: ate, slept, breathed, pawed off, listened to tunes, etc., etc., ad nauseam. Wash, rinse, repeat. The tedium is really boring, but considering the alternative, it's a breeze.
And yes, for a while we had a cable intarweb connection - and about two months ago, it was cut because someone forgot to pay the bill like a good little helper. So dialup, it is - and man, what a chore: you wait an eternity for a webpage to load... and if you're something, say, like Furtopia or LJ's ROFLCL, the bandwidth cap on the connection makes your typical slug look like Ben freakin' Johnson. All you'd need is Brahms' Lullaby playing in the background and you'll have the perfect, non-addictive sleeping aid - just play the orchestral composition, try to load the Sam Goody page and BOOM(!), you're out like a light. It's just that sllllllllllllllooooooooooowwwwwwwwww...
And i have been meh-like about recent things having to do with my involvement with all things fur-related - i honestly wish i could be there with everyone, meeting up with my friends and just hangin' out and chillin' with them, but with every passing report of a suiter's con experience (and the prerequisite moaning about PCD and fanboi funk, BTW), it makes me only wish that i could be there even more. Even worse, it's really bad when you feel like you have no position to even present yourself to a local furmeet or even be involved with joining up with some of the locals - i recently just a few months back had the understandable bummer trip of an MSN contact telling me that it's alright if i didn't want to meet him. Apparently, he doesn't seem to understand that i don't have the means or resources to do so, and it hurt a little bit that he'd even suggest that i'm not interested in doing such. A couple of peeps have even told me in jest that they'd kidnap Uncle Kage and bring the con here, but that would be annoyance to him - i'm sure he has better engagements and whatnot to attend to in his affiliations with all things lifestyler, i guess. :*)~
