About me:
James Andrew Daniel was born in Newcastle Upon Tyne, but now lives and works in Taunton, Somerset. He is part of the team that produced the University of Lincoln Art & Design department magazine "The Case"; and has also exhibited work in Lincoln with the "Lghtiblub" group, as well as exhibiting at “New Designers” 2005 at the Islington business design centre, London. He has had work published in “Weekender”, “Plan B” magazine and “Dazed & Confused” website, and is a member of the “Youandi” international artistic collective.
He studied BA Hons Illustration at the University of Lincoln, where he met, among others; Ken Garland, Martin Lambie-Nairn, David Parkin, Erica Akerlund and representatives from Sea design and Zip. He works in two distinctive illustrative styles, and has also produced the Illustrated lyrics of Camper van Beethoven, and a critical investigation into the use of text in the art of Jean-Michel Basquiat & Raymond Pettibon.
