Well son, it's your 21st birthday today and I have to look up to say happy birthday.  I haven't gotten used to you being gone and I don't think I ever will.  Everything in me wants to say that I hope your looking down on everyone, smiling, and having everything that you ever wanted for your birthday but all I really want is to be able to say it to your sweet face, hold you and never let you go.  I've tried many times to write you a note here but never did.  Kind of like many times I could have talked to you when you were here but I didn't.  The future was taken for granted and I never thought in a trillion years that I would ever lose you the way I did.  I miss you so much and I think about you all the time.  I don't know if things will ever be the same.  I don't know if this emptiness that I feel will ever go away.  I keep reaching out for you and always wind up with empty arms.  Then at times I feel your warmth come over me, I feel your arms around me and see those beautiful blue eyes of yours and know that we will always be together.  I'm with you every day and I know this in my heart.  Please watch over your brother and sister, you know why.  I miss you son.  I love you very much.  I will find our place, I promise.  Love, mom
