Co-owner of 3rd Floor Films, and the actor who portrayed the young Howard Stern in Private Parts, Michael Maccarone is thrown back into the world of the Stern show as he produces THE PROMOTER, a reality show chronicling promoter Sequoia Slentz and how the Killers of Comedy shows actually get put together.
Since its formation in 1999 by Anthony Ragazzo, 3rd Floor Films has consistently created and been associated with many innovative projects ranging from independent shorts to award-winning feature length films. Now based out of Los Angeles, Anthony and his partner Michael Maccarone have focused a majority of their time on producing sketch comedy with an incredibly high production value.
Our most recent project, a parody titled "Goats on a Boat" written by Justin O’Connor, has been circulating the internet for months and has gained quite a reputation for itself. Not only is this project award-winning, but it also caught the attention of the man himself, Samuel L. Jackson, who had some very kind things to say!
3rd Floor Films has a handful of projects going into production in early 2007, however we are most proud of our concept tentatively titled "Time Travel and Toast". What started out as a sketch written by Michael Maccarone and Andy Ochiltree, and shot as a fake trailer directed by Ragazzo, has slowly turned into something far bigger. We will begin pitching the idea in the coming months and plan to continue working on the feature-length script.
