The Bluetongue Blues Band song list includes largely collaborative originals and a broad range of covers reflecting the band's members' diverse musical backgrounds with a firm base in the blues genre. All the covers have a distinct interpretation that has become a signature of the band's attention to detail, while working originality into a grass roots Australian blues sound. The line-up includes Dave Fester (drums) and Murray Simpson (keys) Tony Quelch (vocals, harp & guitar) Wayne Caveney (guitar) and Paul Blasi (bass) are all seasoned musos whose temptation to dally in the rock and funk genres has produced some exciting interpretations of some well worn numbers, but, blues music remains firmly at the heart of this 5 piece outfit.
