MoviesSaw "Mongol" which basically covers the origins of Genghis Khan and quite liked it. Still not as good as John Wayne in Asian eye-makeup pretending to be Temujin. Also, finally got a chance to watch "Witness for the Prosecution" which was fantastic. Could an actor as fat and ugly as the great Charles Laughton ever be popular today? It would be hard to imagine. What a great film.
TelevisionRecently saw a pretty good documentary on the History Channel about China's First Emperor. Poor Huang-di. He had it all in the palm of his hand until he started chugging mercury. Also, Stargate Atlantis with net-chums David and Jewel and the rest of the cast is damn engaging.
BooksTrying to find Chinese translations of Kurt Vonnegut (i.e. Cat's Cradle, Slaughterhouse-Five). Can anybody send me any links?
HeroesOne of my favorite authors, Bo-Yang, has passed away at the age of 88. Future writings of his will be missed.

Artist by trade, artist by nature. I'm originally from Taiwan, an island of about 40 million off the coast of Mainland China, and have been living in the U.S. for over a decade. Fortunately, I have been able to make a living in the comic book industry, illustrating covers, some occasional interiors, and the odd video game and trading card job thrown into the mix to keep things lively.
Who I'd like to meet:
I would like to meet my favorite artists and writers to see how they work, to discover and understand their ideas and motivations for doing what they do and how they do it. Osamu Tezuka, Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, Hitoshi Iwaaki, Nicolas de Crécy, Kent Williams and Dai Dun-bang are but a few off the top of my head. I've had the good fortune to meet many already. These are some that I haven't and some that I never will... ..
