Introducing........THE WIDGET
It's a cunning little device, including songs, videos, reviews, contacts to buy tickets, gig-list, map, and more. It's designed to be easily copied, shared, posted and passed on, as you'll see if you hit the "Share" button.
And best of all, the widget is "live". So when we change the songs or add new live dates, that automatically updates every copy of the widget that has been posted anywhere else
- how smart is that?
Bio:
Hello, we’re Oysterband: 5 people, basically, though sometimes we take other musician friends on tour. We make a kind of modern, folk-based British music, acoustic at heart but not always quiet. We’ve been doing this for a long time, and we’re pretty good at it by now.
We also reckon we write unusual and interesting lyrics for the songs. Everything we’ve experienced makes us sympathetic to the left, the green and the sceptical; but at the same time we like the rich diversity of tradition. Contradictory? You bet!
We’ve made one DVD so far and 10 studio CDs (the latest is “Meet You There”, 2007), not counting compilations, collaborations & live recordings; we’ve played in 35 or so countries; we’ve played jails and political rallies as well as festivals and gigs; and we’ve made good friends all over the world. Music hasn’t made us millions, but the trip has been worth it, every step. ........
Releases:
Our current album with June Tabor, Ragged Kingdom, is available as a CD from our online shop, but if you're into the great vinyl revival, go to Stamford Audio at www.stamfordaudio.co.uk - audiophile quality, gatefold sleeve, the works.
Our previous mainstream album available from all good record shops and the usual download sites.
"...they rediscover the inspiration and energy that made them such a thrilling outfit in the first place. ... ...the songwriting is remarkably consistent and the sound quality magnificent" fRoots
"MEET YOU THERE, Oysterband's first full studio album in several years, may well be their best yet. They sound even more assured and confident, and although the folk influences are still discernible....... with this album they've achieved their fullest realization of a unique Oysterband sound...." Sing Out!
"...a reminder that they are still an exceptional band in their own right. This new set involves some of their best-ever vocal work and unexpected instrumentation..." **** The Guardian
"...this triumphant return sees the band with a renewed sense of purpose and belief" ***** Rock 'N' Reel
" The Oxford Girl And Other Stories "a special collection of all-new acoustic recordings of 14 classic songs from all periods of Oysters' history, re-imagined for now, to celebrate their 30th anniversary will be available on the 30th anniversary tour and by mail order from the website NOW! The album will be available in UK shops released through Proper from May 4th 2009.

Dear friends of celtic-rock,
we're happy to announce our new promotion and networking offer 2011.
Our first goal is to make celtic music visible in Germany and so we search contact to bands, promoters and organisers from all over the world. Our new brochure describes our promotion possibilities and direct contacts to our team members who are responsible for magazine, radiostation, video-channel and our diary of events.
Please find the brochure in an English and German version on our website at:

It would be terribly nice, if you forward this information to other interested people in your business environment.
Hope you enjoy it and don't hesitate to contact us.
Best wishes
