    - Mike Bloomfield's solo on "East-West" (Paul Butterfield Blues Band)

    - Sax/violin solos from "King Kong" (Frank Zappa & the Mother's of Invention)

    - Roger McGuinn's solo on "8 Miles High" (the Byrds) )

    - John Coletrain's sax work on "A Love Supreme" )

    - Bill Bartlett's guitar work on "50 Year Void" (the Lemon Pipers)

    - The 'Progress Suite' on "Of Cabbages & Kings" (Chad & Jeremy)

    Hejira has been performing in & around the Seattle area since 2001 at venues such as;

    NW Folklife Festival, The Arab Festival, 3rd Place Books, Bite of Seattle, Tacoma Ethnic Festival, Sakya Buddhist Monastery, Earthfair, Kolbeh Persian Restaurant, Georgia's Greek Restaurant, Tall Ships Festival
    ...featured twice on KAOS Radio's LIVE "Spin the Globe" program & have just returned from a tour of AZ.

About me:

Hejira is Seattle's only ORIGINAL, World Fusion Band (using Middle Eastern rhythms).

Our unique sound is a result of mixing Western music with traditional Middle Eastern rhythms & scales. This creates a heavy tribal beat for the dancers and an enticing blend for the listening audience.
