  • Bio

Fred Skellenger -Mandolin- Born in Stuart, FL, I've lived in Independence and Kansas City, MO, Chicago, and Brooklyn, NY. I picked up a mandolin in 2001 and fell in love with it. My many influences include, Mike Compton, Ronnie McCoury, and Wayne Benson,+ others. I am self taught. I love old Blues and Country, and anything that has not sold it's soul! I also spend my time writing songs......... Now, Justin Eisenman will be playing guitar and singing. He comes from the midwest, where he had been a regular on the festival circuit and in music venues. He studied music at McNally Smith University in Saint Paul, MN and has been playing professionally for ten years. He is a songwriter, a multi-instrumentalist and Carpenter........... Then, Kevin Sluder will be playing Bass and singing in his great tenor voice just made for this music! He is from the Asheville area too. Kevin is a furniture builder and designer. He has been playing with the Tipton Hill Boys for years and you can find out about them with a Google search!.......... Ok, Tim Gardner will play fiddle. He is a natural and smooth player. He and his dad make custom banjos and banjo necks. He has a degree in forestry and he is a sound engineer. He has been playing the High Windy band for a few years. You can google them and hear a bit!
